Ever since I was a little girl I had a mouth on me. Many times in my life people have asked my mom, 'Who's the mother, and who's the daughter?' When I lived in New York City men would always hit on my mom and I would say, 'Hey assh*** don't look at my mommmy.' This was me at 4 years old. I grew up quick because I knew and saw things most people aren't exposed to 'til their twenties. My house guests were usually drag queens, dominatrices, body builders, and the many other artists my mom so frequently took pictures of. My mom has always been a strong, independent woman and since I was little, strength has been instilled in me. When I would fall as a kid, my mom would never baby me, she would say, 'Get up, you're not hurt.'

When I was five years old my mom was told I was an angry child and it was necessary she take me out of New York City, so we moved to Miami Beach, where my mom is originally from. I immediately got involved in competitive sports and strived in karate, basketball, tennis and basically any ball I could get my hands on. I was a quick learner and picked up on sports immediately. I was also at this time living with my grandparents while my mom was establishing herself as an incredible photographer on the beach. After a year we moved into an oceanfront apartment on Collins Ave. I became extremely close to my grandmother in that time and it was very hard for me when she died of colon cancer when I was nine.

Skipping a lot, I'll take you to high school, where I really excelled in sports. Going into my freshman year of high school I had several high schools recruiting me for sports. My junior year I decided to leave my friends I had been with since kindergarten and go to a private school in Coral Gables, where I was given a full ride. All through high school I was always in a relationship, I usually dated guys much older than me because I always felt I was way beyond my years. It was at the end of my sophomore year that I met Amy. We became instant best friends and I realized that I had feelings for her that I never had for any other friend. I dreamed of kissing her, and I was very much attracted to her, but due to the fact that I had a boyfriend and Amy was dating too, I pushed these feelings aside for 6 months until I couldn't take it anymore. We kissed and after that I knew there was no turning back, Amy was special and I had never felt anything so strong before in my life.

Amy then left for college and I finished up high school still dating men to try to tell myself that what was going on between Amy and me was just for fun. Then I realized no one could compare, and Amy and I were a couple. We have now been together three years off and on, but have overcome many obstacles. Her parents and family continue to be in the dark about us, but that is just one more thing we will overcome. Presently I am getting ready to move back to the Chelsea Hotel in New York City with Amy, she is going to Fordham and I will be going to school in the city as well. I guess I'll just have to see where I take my life next...

Rachel feels like her breaking up with Amy before the trip was a bad decision. Her quick relationship with Darrell has only served to prove that she's in love with Amy. She's really hurt that Amy is dating a man and is enjoying that they can be 'out' in public about their involvement. With Amy coming to visit soon, she is hoping that she can convince her that they need to be together.
When Amy arrives, Rachel's demeanor completely changes. She is happy and overwhelmed with her presence. She does everything in her power to prove to Amy that she wants to be with her, that she will be her rock and that she isn't letting her get away. After some discussion of it, Amy agrees to try being together again and the two kiss and snuggle on top of the RV and under the stars.
