"Operation Lift the Ban"
End Discrimination In The
Armed Forces
Everyday, brave men and women
are called to defend our nation's rights and liberties. Unfortunately, a large
percentage of these men and women are denied the same rights and treated like
second-class citizens.
Service men and women report daily to a hostile
environment where gay-epithets and threats of assault against perceived gay
servicemembers go unchallenged by their superiors.
Gay, lesbian and
bisexual servicemembers serving their country are reminded daily that they must
live a lie. Honesty about their sexual orientation would cost them dishonor,
discharge or even death.
Servicemembers who are not gay are afraid to
speak out against gay-bashing because there is no officer support. Speaking out
for the rights of another human being could label them and damage their own
careers and safety.
There has been a silent war going on in the barracks
and on the flight deck. America’s best and brightest serve a country that
refuses to see them or their contributions.
Please take a moment to sign
our secure, private petition to give us more ammunition in the fight against
discrimination. Your name will only be used in presentations to state, local and
federal governments to appeal the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Policy.

Message from Tampa Bay Coalition in Support of
Lifting the Ban
All Americans who wish to serve their country by becoming
a member of the United States Military, should be allowed. A service members
sexual orientation has absolutely no relevance as to their ability to serve as a
member of our military. From World War I and to the Operation Iraqi Freedom, Gay
and Lesbian service members have served honorably, proudly and many have gave
their lives, doing so. It is time, that all Americans, who are more than able,
qualified and willing to serve our country in any branch of our military
services be allowed to do so equally and the ban on gay and lesbians Americans
ability to serve and protect our country, be eliminated.
Please, take a moment and show your support for
Equality for Gay and Lesbian Americans to serve in the United States Armed
Services. And to do so openly, without the fear of discrimination, verbal and
physical abuse from members of the military and being discharged solely because
of their sexual orientation. Click
on links and sign the petition to "Remove
Ban on Gay & Lesbians to serve in the Military" and "Lifting the "Don't Ask
- Don't Tell" Policy in the United States Military".
