to the custody of the Department of Juvenile Justice and are in a juvenile

13: Since the brothers
sentencing, they have been housed at the North Florida Reception Center in Lake
Butler, the entry point for adult inmates. The boys were tried in the adult
court system, as adults. But, now the Department of Corrections, which runs the
adult prison system, has asked that the boys be transferred to one of the
Department of Juvenile Justice's, residential
facilities.

10: Ricky Chavis acquitted
of killing Terry King, but, now faces life in prison, plus an additional 170
years, on charges surrounding the brutal slaying. Chavis is being
charged with one count of kidnapping and 10 counts of lewd or lascivious sexual
battery. The kidnapping charge alone carries a possible life term in prison. The
other charges combine for another possible 170 years in
prison.

King, 13, admitted to third-degree murder and arson charges after the judge
threw out second-degree murder convictions and ordered the case into mediation.

Confession Blame Chavis in Father's Murder
Two babyfaced brothers
charged with murdering their own father testified against family friend also on
trial for the killing. The boys initially told investigators Alex had hatched
the idea to kill their father so they could move in with Chavis. Claiming Derek
bashed Terry Lee King in the head with a bat as he slept and the boys set the
house ablaze to destroy evidence. During their testimony, the boys testified
neither took part in the brutal killing. Instead, claimed they concocted the
original story only to protect
Chavis.
