Henn Continues Lies in
Colorado
Norm Kent
The Express has
learned that Patric Ian Henn is attempting to continue his scam of deceiving
people that he lost his lover in the World Trade Center attacks on September 11.
Henn, located in Littleton, Colorado, told AOL chat room members in a
Denver M4M group, that he was finding “solace” and “comfort” while seeking a
“respite from the pain in Colorado.”
Online, using the screen name DCBoy4now27@aol.com , Henn told people he
had just “sold his home in Florida,” and was in transit to the West Coast. Henn,
whose scam took the Red Cross and other relief agencies for over $30,000, was
revealed in an exclusive Express story on February 25.
Henn is currently
in Denver, advertising online that he is “open and looking,” from Washington,
D.C., and that he is a “chem. Friendly guy looking to meet new playmates.”
Planetout.com, gay.com, the Washington Blade, and the New York Blade
picked up the newsbreaking piece two weeks ago. An article on the scam appeared
in Wednesday’s Washington Post, which was followed on Thursday with front-page
features in the Sun-Sentinel and the Miami Herald.
Last Wednesday
evening, however, Patric Henn dined in Superior, Colorado with Andrew Tweedie, a
gentleman he met online. Tweedie was in shock when he called The Express this
afternoon. Tweedie spent Wednesday evening with Henn at 7044 Appleton Circle, in
Glendale, Colorado, where Henn is staying.
“I could not believe I
actually had dinner with this man,” Tweedie, 31 stated. “I just read about him
on planetout.com, and realize now what a liar he had been. I sat there and
listened to him as he told me how he was recovering from the loss of his lover
in the World Trade Center attacks. He told me how he was trying to recuperate
here in Littleton, Colorado.”
Tweedie says Henn told him a series of
conflicting stories, including that Henn was without any of his possessions.
Henn purportedly stated “the female friend that he was staying with left to go
to Kansas for a wedding, but she took his Louis Vitton luggage with her. Henn
told me that unfortunately in the luggage was his wallet with all his credit
cards, driver’s license and passport.”
As reported by The Express, Henn
has no driver’s license, and his Louis Vitton luggage is a couple of Army Duffle
bags.
While Tweedie acknowledges Henn has not asked him for money, he
left the impression he was “well off, had just sold his Florida home, and was
affluent.” As reported in The Express, Henn owned no home, and had abandoned his
Middle River Terrace apartment last month after not paying the February rent.
The Red Cross had paid for the December and January rent.
After the
original story of Henn’s deceptive practices appeared in The Express, at least
three individuals confirmed that he was not only not a domestic partner with a
lover who perished in the World Trade Center, but had married an Australian
woman for “immigration purposes” and monetary compensation.
Sources
confirmed that Henn was staying in Washington, D.C., and possibly seeking relief
funds from various agencies there. One of his neighbors, Barbara Cardino, said
Henn admitted as much to her.
