(Los Angeles, California)  The brutal attacks on actor Trev Broudy and three other gay men in West Hollywood will be profiled Saturday on America's Most Wanted.

Broudy, who appeared in the film The Fluffer,  remains in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he is undergoing extensive physiotherapy after he was beaten unconscious by a man wielding either a baseball bat or an iron bar.  He had been in a coma for nine days.

A friend of the actor was also injured in the attack.  He and the victims of two other attacks were treated and released from hospital.  The most recent attack occurred last weekend.

Police believe the same two men are responsible for all four beatings.

The viciousness of the attacks has galvanized Hollywood's gay community.  The Sheriff's department has doubled patrols on foot, car and bicycle in the gay West Hollywood neighborhood.  In addition undercover and SWAT officers have also been placed in the area.

Private and public sources have supplied a reward of $85,000 that has been posted for information leading to an arrest of the gay bashers.

Former West Hollywood mayor and state Assemblyman Paul Koretz, (D) has called for the creation of an anti-hate crime task force.

The heavy police presence has won praise from gay rights advocates including the Human Rights Campaign.

"West Hollywood officials and law enforcement have sent a strong signal that they are determined to protect the city's residents and doggedly investigate until these violent criminals are brought to justice," said Seth Kilbourn, HRC's national field director.

"The leadership and sensitivity demonstrated in West Hollywood exemplifies how community officials and law enforcement should respond to hate crimes."

America's Most Wanted will air Saturday at 9:00 pm E/PT on FOX.
