Friends, Family and Supporters:

I’m so sorry to bombard you with another mailing.

As you know, Marcus’ family had little option but to settle out of court.  If pushed, there is likelihood that Minersville’s insurance company would be forced into bankruptcy.  This leaves the family with a settlement that is less than desirable.

Now that the court case has concluded, it’s our turn and obligation to rally and fight for what’s right … justice and accountability.

Many of you have asked for the local Minersville newspapers information.  While we certainly would like you to bombard the newspaper with letters to the editor, let us take it a step further.

Write your local TV stations, newspapers and media to inform them of this atrocity.  Remember, this can and does happen across the country and even in your towns.

You can find the full press release regarding the settlement under the Resources tab on our website for pointers and facts.

We are operating on NO budget and as much as I would welcome donations, we can spread the message further by apparel, totes, hats and the like.  You may find new items in our cafepress.com store shortly.   I strongly encourage you to take a look and by a great item that will spread our message.

We certainly welcome your ideas and suggestions regarding tag-lines for shirts as well as media outlet information.  If you can help us in any way, please forward your comments to info@marcuswayman.org.

The local newspaper in Minersville is called the Pottsville Republican & Evening Herald (www.pottsville.com).  You may address your letters to the editor at 111 Mahantongo Street, Pottsville, PA 17901.  Be sure to include your phone number for verification of identity.

Other offices I urge you to contact are:

Mayor of Minersville, David Dutcavage, Borough Building, East Sunbury Street, Minersville, PA 17954 (570-544-2149).  Urge the Mayor to take action in this matter and adopt a written ordinance to have only ad! equacy trained officers on the police force).

Write to the Chief of the Minersville Police Department (Chief Robert Bergan, 136 South Third Street, Minersville PA 17954) or call (570-544-2333) demanding that his police officers be adequately trained in sensitivity to sexual minority issues and a written policy for his department be adopted.  Further demand that Officer Scott Willisnky be fired immediately as he posed a threat to all under his gun.

Federal Bureau of Investigation's local office at 504 West Hamilton Street, Allentown, PA 18101-1500 or call 610-433-6488 demanding an investigation into the police conduct for the purpose  filing federal criminal charges (in addition to civil "Conspiracy to Deprive a Citizen of Civil Rights" charges, per 42 USC 1983 et seq.).

Governor of
Pennsylvania (Governor Ed Randell, 225 Main Capitol, Harrisburg, PA 17120
) or call (717) 787-2500 demanding the legislation be adopted to prevent a recurrence of the Minersville Tragedy.

United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania (Patrick L. Meehan, 615 Chestnut Street, Suite 1250, Philadelphia, PA 19106) or call (215-861-8200) or fax (215-861-8609) demanding that his office undertake the prosecution of the police officers involved on federal criminal charges and a civil action for "Conspiracy to Deprive of Civil Rights" under title 42 of the United States Code.

Now it’s our turn to fight for tolerance, justice and the innocent!  I hope you will join us in anyway you can.

Thank you for your continued support and stay tuned … we’re just getting started!

In peace,

Kyle

Family, Friends and Supporters:

My last email seemed a bit dooming.  Certainly not my intention.  I merely wanted to convey the horror and atrocities that have taken place over this case.

REST assured, WE ARE NOT DONE!  This has played out in the courts, however, not in the public eye.

We need your help to keep the pressure on, fight for what's right and get the word out.

Again, we're far from over.  20/20, ABC and the like will be covering this and I'm confident that with your help, we can keep turn the heat up and expose this egregious murder.

PLEASE .... buy some shirts and such, hang banners, write editorials, and moreover, contact the Minersville police to demand removal of the officers involved.

THIS, my friends, will spread out message far and wide while sending a clear message that "they" cannot get away with a slap on the wrists, not only in PA, but sending a larger message to treat our youth with dignity, respect and honor.

FAR FROM OVER but need your ongoing support.

PLEASE email us with ideas, any assistance you can provide and let's take it to the public arena to see what they have to say.

Spread the word, fight for what's right and don' t rest until we have complete victory for Marcus and all who have suffered his torture.

Please. I can't do this on my own.  I NEED YOU and welcome your ideas and input.

Needing you now more than ever.

All light and love
To fight for what's right!

In peace,
Kyle
