He made very unflattering and critical comments about, Bible believing Christians referring to them as the, "Fanatical Religious Right, who should just be ignored". Mr. O'Reily's opinion, of favoring protecting gays from job discrimination by all states passing laws to do so, opposes the effort to repeal the gay rights ordinance in Miami-Dad County and went on to say, he wouldn't complain if gay marriage ever became law. The ultimate blow to the religious rights anti-gay agenda, was, Mr. O'Reily, interview of Stephen Bennett, ex-gay and preacher of intolerance and hatred of gays on The Factor. Needless to say, this has the CWFA and other fanatical members of the religious right seething. Sept. 5: Bill O'Reily, The Factor, is taking nasty hits from Concerned Women for America, CWFA, a fanatical Religious Right group, for not condemning Homosexuality and the granting of Homosexuals Equality of Rights. They are quite bitter because he is not to buying what they are selling about GLBT's. O'Reily expressed pro-gay viewpoint in favor of protecting gays from job discrimination by all states passing laws to do so, opposes the effort to repeal the gay rights ordinance in Miami-Dad County and goes as far to say, he wouldn't complain if gay marriage ever became law. It gets even better when Stephen Bennett, Ex-Gay ~ Now Straight, appeared on The Factor, O'Reily blasted his anti-gay Bible thumping, even called Bennett a religious fanatic among other things.
