GLSEN expressed its support of the Harvey Milk School, a program of the Hetrick-Martin Institute. Regrettably, programs like the Harvey Milk School remain necessary and serve as an indictment of school systems that have not effectively addressed the violence, bullying, and harassment faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) students.
