Priest Quits After Ex Releases Porno Video Him

(April 30, Madrid)  Hell hath no fury like a lover scorned, and a priest in the small town of Nerja in southern Spain has learned a powerful lesson about scorn.

Eladio Ocana Serrano quit his job as village priest after his ex lover unleashed dozens of copies of a video tape of the pair having sex.

Ocana, according to his replacement as village priest, was being blackmailed by his former lover.  When he did not receive the money he had demanded, he began sending copies of the video he had taken while having sex with Ocana.

A parishioner sent the tape on to the bishop.

Church officials said that Eladio Ocana Serrano has resigned and "retired to a monastery to pray and to reflect."

Antonio Dorado Soto, the bishop of Malaga, said Ocana "recognized his morally irregular behavior before the bishop and gratefully accepted the help of the church to transform himself as a person and as a priest."

Earlier this year another gay priest was suspended after revealing in a magazine interview that he had been leading a secret gay life for decades.
