Lastly, it is done! The Higher Council of Audio-visual (CSA) has officially agreed Pink TV, the future gay chain and lesbian cable and satellite.

It is the result of long months of negotiations between the chain and CSA. The principal obstacle was not the gay character and lesbien of Pink TV, but the fact that it will diffuse skin flicks.

Csa had to modify his payment to be able to arrive to an agreement and conventionner the chain. It is on March 25 which the Council had adopted a deliberation on the terms of dissemination of the programs of category 5, i.e. films X.

Conventionnement will allow to resolve the 24 million euros deposited by the shareholders on a frozen account, and to launch the production of the first emissions, but also of the preparing of the chain, for a launching envisaged in October 2003.

Pink TV will be able to diffuse skin flicks only between midnight and 5 hours of the morning, with a system of double encoding. The subscription with the chain will be done with two options with the choice: with or without films X the chain will be able to diffuse a maximum of 208 skin flicks per annum, that is to say 4 per week.

If the programs "adult" were the principal problem at CSA, they will be far from representing the major part of the programming, since Pink TV will propose many cultural emissions and of entertainment, of which a daily magazine, with chroniclers VIP, emissions of meetings, debates, and other projects which one waits to see impatiently so much they are exciting on paper...

The subscription with the chain should be proposed to 9 euros per month, and Pink hopes to allure 200 000 subscribers from here 2007.
