Day of Silence Goes to Washington
U.S Congressman Eliot Engel (D-NY) introduced a resolution yesterday to formally recognize the Day of Silence, Appril 9, and the students working on this record-setting event. "GLSEN's hard work on behalf of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students is to be commended,” Engel said. “Our government has a responsibility to ensure that all Americans have access to an education in a school free from harassment and abuse."  More info
