Day of Silence Goes to
Washington
U.S Congressman Eliot Engel (D-NY) introduced a resolution
yesterday to formally recognize the Day of Silence, Appril 9, and the students
working on this record-setting event. "GLSEN's hard work on behalf of lesbian,
gay, bisexual and transgender students is to be commended,” Engel said. “Our
government has a responsibility to ensure that all Americans have access to an
education in a school free from harassment and abuse." More info
