Adam Ezerski, 19, of Atlantic Beach in northeastern Florida, faces murder charges in the July 25 slaying of Irving Sicherer, 76, and the death the following day of Anthony Martilotto, 39, in southeastern Florida.
"We consider him very dangerous," said Andy Black, FBI spokesman in San Francisco. "Both of his victims were members of the gay community, as he is. We were hoping that someone in the public will lead us to him and his arrest."
Ezerski was on probation for car theft when Sicherer was found bludgeoned in his condominium in Adventura, Fla., a northern Miami suburb.
The next day, Martilotto was discovered strangled in a Fort Lauderdale, Fla. hotel room, where he had been staying and apparently checked in with Ezerski, police said.
Fingerprints tie Ezerski to at least one of the murders, authorities said. He is believed to be driving a 2001 red Ford Mustang leased by Martilotto.
Black said someone reported seeing Ezerski driving the stolen car in San Francisco on Wednesday.
He is named in a federal warrant charging him with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
Ezerski is 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs 175 pounds with brown, possibly bleached hair and green eyes.

Lauderdale Murder Suspect Wanted in California

After FBI officials in San Francisco announced that they were searching for suspected killer and career criminal Adam Ezerski there, a possible new victim emerged.
A man in San Francisco told the FBI on Thursday that Ezerski, 19, had attacked him early Tuesday morning after the two met at a café and after Ezerski spent a couple of nights at the victim's house.
Ezerski allegedly struck the man with a plaster statue while he was sleeping and then tried to choke him, according to Andrew Black, an FBI spokesman in San Francisco.
The victim told the FBI that he recognized Ezerski after agents launched a media campaign warning that he might be in the area.
``He didn't know that this was a fugitive from justice,'' Black said.
Investigators searched the area in San Francisco and found the 2001 Ford Mustang that Ezerski is believed to have stolen from another victim, Anthony Martilotto, of Weston. The tags match, Black said.
Ezerski is wanted for the strangling of Martilotto, who was found dead in a Fort Lauderdale hotel room last month. Police believe the two checked in to the hotel together.
Detectives in Aventura who are investigating last month's death of Irving Sicherer, 78, want to talk to Ezerski, but are not calling him a suspect.
``The evidence that we have looked into already doesn't yield anything toward Adam,'' said Aventura police Detective Fred Morris.
Ezerski is named in a federal warrant charging him with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
Earlier, Fort Lauderdale police detective Dennis Salsberry said he spoke to the FBI's Miami office Thursday morning and was told the stories about Ezerski being in San Francisco were based on one tip phoned in to America's Most Wanted. Salsberry said at the time that he believed Ezerski was in South Florida.
He could not be reached late Thursday for comments about the new information.

Los Angeles: The FBI is warning gay men that a serial killer is on the lose. 19 year old Adam Ezerski is wanted in the murders of two Florida men and now has been spotted in San Francisco.
The body of 76 year old Irving Sicherer was found in his condo in a north Miami suburb July 25. Police say Sicherer had been beaten to death. The following day, Anthony Martilotto, 39 was found strangled to death in his Fort Lauderdale hotel room.
Florida police say Martilotto had apparently checked into the hotel with Ezerski.
The 19 year old's fingerprints were found at the scene of at least one of the killings. Ezerski was on parole at the time of the murders.
The FBI said Thursday he is believed to be driving a 2001 red Ford Mustang leased by Martilotto.
A man matching Ezerski's description was seen driving the car in San Francisco this week.
Andy Black, the FBI spokesman in San Francisco told a San Francisco newspaper Thursday, "`We consider him very dangerous."
"Both of his victims were members of the gay community, as he is. We were hoping that someone in the public will lead us to him and his arrest,'' Black said.
The Bureau is also reported to be checking police departments between Florida and California for recent killings to determine if there is a connection to Ezerski.
The serial killings have rekindled memories of Andrew Cunanan who left a trail of bodies across the nation.
Cunanan, committed suicide on a Florida houseboat after slaying Gianni Versace.
It is not known if Ezerski is still in the San Francisco area.
He is described as being 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 175 pounds with brown, possibly bleached hair and green eyes.
Police say anyone seeing him should not approach him, but call police immediately.

The fear rippling through the city is that a gay serial killer is on the loose. According to the police and the FBI, he is a clean-cut 19-year-old called Adam Ezerski who is already wanted for the killings of two gay men in Florida.
Earlier this week, a 43-year-old man, whose identity has been withheld, believes he met Ezerski in a gay bar in the rough Tenderloin district and had a two-night tryst with him before being attacked. According to the police, Ezerski smashed a statue against his head while he was asleep in bed and tried to strangle him.
Now the whole city is on high alert, with flyers and posters on just about every doorway in the Castro and other gay neighbourhoods.
"It's like Cunanan all over again," one Castro resident, David Dalrymple, told the San Francisco Chronicle. Andrew Cunanan, suspected of killing five gay men including the fashion designer Gianni Versace, became the object of a nationwide manhunt in 1997 and was found shot to death in a houseboat in Florida. He was also described as clean-cut.
Ezerski's alleged killing spree began last month, when a 76-year-old man was found bludgeoned to death in his beachside residence near Miami. The next day, Ezerski checked into a hotel in Fort Lauderdale with a man called Anthony Martilotto. Mr Martilotto was found strangled in his room in the morning.
According to the FBI, Ezerski then drove Martilotto's rented red Mustang cross-country. The car's number plate showed up on the records of a car park near the home of the Tenderloin man assaulted this week.
San Francisco police say Ezerski's fingerprint was also found on a video in the man's apartment. After fighting off his attacker, the man went to hospital where he needed six stitches in his head. He told a local television station he later got a phone called from "Adam" apologising for the attack.
Ezerski is still believed to be driving the red sports car. Sightings over the past week have been recorded both in San Francisco and further south in California.
